flash player on linux ?

Elixer

Lifer
Anyone know what causes this:
Code:
http://store.akamai.steamstatic.com/public/swf/videoPlayer.swf?v=10
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
This was with chrome (also tried chromium) with the pepperflashplugin-nonfree installed.
In addition I also tried FF with its flash plugin, and pretty much the same error.

This is on steam's store page, I can't view any videos.

However, I can view youtube flash content.

Ideas ?

Is this the page?

http://store.akamai.steamstatic.com/

Clicking on it's videos works for me, using Flash 11.2.202.425 and Firefox 34.0.5

Well, it is any steam page that has flash content. The link I posted above if from the console (F12), with that error message.
For example, http://store.steampowered.com/app/301910/ none of those videos will load, they all have the same error in console, and I only see a black box.

(from debug console)
Code:
 GET http://store.akamai.steamstatic.com/public/swf/videoPlayer.swf?v=10 net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
swfobject.js?v=.IJPsm1EB98JP:5 Xswfobject.js?v=.IJPsm1EB98JP:5 (anonymous function)swfobject.js?v=.IJPsm1EB98JP:5 V

*edit, and this is with no extensions/plugins except the flash plugin.

While I rather use HTML5, I thought steam store required flash ? I see no option to have a HTML5 version of their store ?

😳
Sigh, turns out a FW rule on the router was the issue, it blocked all .swf content.
😳
Tried mint again, and all is fine.

Pardon the noise. D:
