Flash Player 9 beta for linux is finally out!

Thought it'd be better in OS since more anandtech linux users seem to look here than Software.

Link is here. I downloaded the installer as its the firefox plugin.

Must say, working great so far.. No sync issues! And now I can luckily watch vids from sites that require 9 even though I can't remember what those sites were..

Sweet. Now all they need is a 64-bit version.

In other news, the SVN of mplayer has open-source ffmpeg WMV9 decode support. That means we don't have to use the DMO DLLs anymore, and it'll be easier for 64-bit users. I don't know about the status of WMA9 though.

Wow nice! Didn't know the status on that either. Good news for linux users today. 🙂

I saw a thread over on UbuntuForums.org saying you can add the sources below to your sources.lst and it will allow you to update through apt.
