Flash or HTML?

HTML, because flash is a waste of time

When i open up a site, I want to get to what im looking for right away. Flash sites are (for lack of a better word) too flashy. Granted there are a lot of easily navigatable flash-sites, but the poorly done ones just piss me off too much
 
i ****** hate flash based sites. 99% of them are a serious pain to navigate and look at. slow response, restricting interface, non-standard interaction, distracting effects, longer load times etc.
