Flash MX 2004 help: Mac OS X 10.3.6

Hi,

My cousin sent me a flash document. It was only 144kb when he sent it to me. So I add a little more to it, and I also insert a song, which is 5 megs big. So after I am done, I save it. And while I am sending it to him, the file became a whopping 42.3 megs!! What the?? So I deleted the song from the document to see if it brings the size down. I saved it, went to Get Info, and the size did not change. So I delete the entire contents of the document, saved it, and checked the size again, and the size still did not change. I deleted the flash preferences, and did not help.

I tried with a blank document, inserted the same 5mb song, and I did save as. The document is a 38.1mb file. This has never happened before. Any ideas whats going on? I never had this problem with 10.3.4 or 10.3.5 but I think this problem happened when I updated 10.3.6.

I also reinstalled Flash, to see if the problem goes away, and it didnt. I made 3 blank documents after reinstalling flash, and inserted the same 5 mb song in each and all the files were 38.1mb.

Can anyone help me?
Thanks.

BTW, I posted at both Flashkit.com and Macromedia forums with no help whatsoever. I'd appreciate all help. 🙂

Haha, I solved my problem. Turns out something is wrong with the song itself. I tried a different song from a different band, and the flash file was the size of the actual song, not 3 or 4 times the song.

I wonder why it would do that, because the songs from the one band is the only ones doing this, but when I use different band (Led Zeppelin) or any other band, I dont get the problem.

I will have to look into this a little more.
