If you purchased flash memory between Feb 2000 and Feb 6, 2006 (who hasn't?) and you still have a receipt (herein - the catch), you may qualify for a cash refund of 5% of your purchase price for each one purchased (doesn't include tax, but no mention of rebates). Or you may qualify for a 10% discount against a future purchase.

so let's see... that $60 SanDisk Olympus XD camera card before rebate would yield back a whopping $3.00 check (but subtract the $0.39 postage).

You've got until Nov 16th, 2006 to file a claim.

Jeez, these lawyers get 2.4 Mil for this. Something is really wrong here with all these class action lawsuits. The two guys filing the suit get 1,000 apiece. Something is wrong with this system when only the people getting the money is lawyers. Maybe the judge will throw this one out to reduce the lawyers fees like it was done with the Netflix class action lawsuit.

13. What are the Attorneys? Fees for the Case?

From the inception of this lawsuit, Plaintiffs' Counsel have not received payments for their services, nor have they been reimbursed for any out-of-pocket expenses. If the Court approves the settlement, Plaintiffs' Counsel will ask the Court to award, and Defendants have agreed to pay, and not contest the reasonableness of, an award of fees and costs up to $2,400,000. Additionally, Plaintiffs' Counsel will ask the Court to award Plaintiffs Vroegh and Witthoff $1,000 each for their time and effort related to the Litigation, and Defendants have agreed not to contest the reasonableness of the award.

The FAQ says:
..or the equivalent proof of purchase from a merchant or financial institution specifying the Flash Memory Device purchased

Maybe I can just log into Newegg and Amazon and print out my order history.

Another frivolous lawsuit dealing with size-counting techniques?

This is actually pretty hot for me. If your read the note, you also get $20 for each kodak or fuji camera you bought with memory bundled. I've bought at least 3 of these since 2000, and personally spent $600+ on flash memory. I can also submit this for all the memory we've purchased at work, which would easily be another 1500+. I can easily get $100+ from this.

You can only get one refund/discount per brand, because by then you are conscious of the issue.

My bad only one future discount but you can get refunds on all products bought.
