Just a heads up, prices for 16GB cards are plummeting.

A-Data seems to be an industry leader right now in regards to low-cost flash memory. If speed isn't an issue (e.g. if you're not a sports/action shooter), 16GB CF cards are $52 plus shipping at Newegg.

16GB Class 6 SDHC are $50 plus shipping at Newegg. ZipZoomFly has 16GB Class 6 SDHC cards for $45 after $10 MIR, plus shipping.

No reliability/compatibility issues for me with lower-cost brands. *knock on wood* Although I always recommend downloading/backing-up files off your memory cards whenever possible.

I've had one compatibility problem with a Kingston CF card on my Minolta 7D. For some reason that camera did NOT like Kingston cards. I've basically stuck with Sandisk since then, though now that my memory needs are increasing, I may look into Transcend or A-Data since people have had positive results with both.

I have 10GB now, but I could use another 8.

Reviews of the A-Data card showed no compatibility issues with my D300, which is why I ordered one. Some Canon DSLRs cannot format the entire 16GB card in-camera properly (only formatting 8GB of it), but if you have a card-reader, you can format the card on your computer and your camera will see all 16GB just fine.

The A-Data 16GB SDHC card also had reviews showing no compatibility issues with my Vixia HF100.

Newegg has a lot more negative reviews for Ridata memory cards, so I've stayed away from those.
