flash media encoder

Anybody here know much about fme? I've been trying to do some streaming of a 720p source, but I keep losing audio sync. If I lower the source down to sd it's fine. My cpu usually hovers around in the 60-70% and spikes higher when in 720p but stays around 30 ish when I tried the sd. I'm running on an e8400 right now, do you think getting a quad core would help? I'm hesitant to buy a new cpu right now just for this though. I just bought this cpu not to long ago.

Is there a particular reason that you need to stream this content in Flash? Because in all honesty if you ask me Flash for high quality video is pretty crap.

It's a community thing, unfortunatly flash is all the site uses.
