Flash in FF...

I want to turn the sound off with flash without affecting the volume of the rest of my system. Any suggestions?

If youre curious, i want to listen to music and play a flash game at the same time.

if you're in vista, it might let you mute all sound for the firefox browser (or if not, then try internet explorer 7).

you'll have to look in the volume control panel and see if your browser is listed in there.

try a Firefox plugin called Flashblock. it wont specifically cut the sound but if the problem is Flash ads making noise, the plugin will do it.

Im not using vista and i dont want to block all flash (i did that a while back with my CSS prefs), i just want to turn the sound off.

Flashblock will not permanently block Flash. it will merely stop it from loading automatically. if you decide that you do wanna see the video, it only takes 1 click (on the Flash video itself) and 1sec for the streaming to load and start playing. give it a try and you will see what i mean.
