Flash GPU acceleration issues on Atom/Ion platform

I am not sure how or when this happened but today I noticed huge slowdowns whilst playing or helping with some friends Facebook Flash games. The browser was chugging cycles and after some narrowing down, any Flash based program was introducing the slowdowns.

Several months ago, 1080p YouTube videos were pretty silky on Flash 10.1 Beta yet now they are slideshows.

I have taken to reinstalling the latest flash player and I have also installed the latest Nvidia drivers for desktop ION systems but to no avail.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

A simple system using an ASUS AT3N7A-I, a 250 Gb WD Scorpio Blue housed in an Antec Mini-ITX case running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.

EDIT: Installed Nvidia Graphics Drivers 258.96 WHQL and Nvidia Chipset Drivers 15.51 WHQL to no effect. Reinstalled Flash Player 10.1 direct from Adobe to no effect. Playing a 1080p movie at YouTube skyrockets my CPU usage to 100% and plays like a slideshow.

Take a look at the Nvidia control panel and disable PhysiX, when updating drivers some times it's enabled by default. This causes the CPU to take the load instead of the GPU.

I'm just glad the new driver installation interface has the option to exclude things you don't need.
