flash drive problems

a month ago i bought my sister a 512meg lexar jumpdrive for school and i did not test it before she took it up with her but she could not get it to work so i brought it home and tried it in 3 different computers with no luck. i exchanged it for a new one and this time i tested it first and it was working fine but when she got it up to school it wouldnt work. now it doesnt work on my computers either. her motherboard is a intel 865gbf and both her printer and mouse are working fine with the onboard usb controller. does anyone have an idea on what could be causing the problem. im not quite sure how she could ruin two flashdrives and i cant find anything wrong with her computer. if it might help when i built her comp i let her pick her case and she chose a cheap codgen case against my advice. well anyways she did try to use the flash drive in her front usb ports first.

dunno really, but i had a 1 gb lexar jumpdrive that worked for a couple of months, and then just died on me one day when i pulled it from one machine and put it in another 🙁 i bought another, but stayed away from lexar. guess i'll return my broken one and use it as a spare. what really ticked me of was i had important info on it that i hadn't had a chance to backup to my desktop yet 🙁

good luck in fixing your issues with it though 😉
