Flash developers - how do you make a video tutorial of your desktop?

I'd like to make some video tutorials of software for my website. This new Flash 8 player has some really great video stuff, I'm impressed with the speed & quality. I've looked at Camtasia and stuff, but having the Flash movies integrated right in my website seems like a really nice option. What's involved in doing that? Or do I still need a seperate program to record, then use Flash to convert it to .swf?

Either of these will work. For the first option, I would grab CamStudio (v1.x was free) to record to avi or wmv. Then you use Flash 8 video encoder to create your .flv, which you then import into Flash 8 to build your swf. Second option, Macromedia bought out the company that made CamStudio and made it RoboDemo. No doubt, they used the same technology to create Captivate. Not sure you want to spend that money for Captivate if you already have Flash 8.

I gave camstudio 2.x a try and while they say it's free, they make you register (enter email) after a short period. I tried doing it 5 times to 2 different email addresses and my code has never come. I gave up and went back to v1.x.
