Flash based games run VERY slow

Just built a new system based on Athlon64 X2 4200+ . Video card is ATI X800GTO.
I was looking at some macromedia flash based graphics / games, and they are running very very slow on my X2 4200+ compared to the Athlon XP-M laptop (with some ATI graphics card).

Any possible reasons?
