I've seen some crappy TV in my years, but that show takes the cake. There are shows that are "good" because they are bad... but this one. Man it transcends all kinds of crappiness.

The original Flash Gordon movie was so bad it was AWESOME.

The new series fails even that - it's taking itself too seriously.

Oh they did.
What I think they tried to do (and failed miserably at) was keep some of the "Campiness" and "Cheeseballness" of the movie itself, but also modernize it. All they did was end up with a HORRIBLE hour long show that won't see the light of day again. LOL its SOOOO bad.

Yeah, this show was utter crap. Just take one look at the horribly miscast Ming the Merciless character... A short guy with blond 1980's hair? Come on..

"Captain Proton" from the Star Trek: Voyager holodeck was more entertaining than this garbage.

There's one redeeming quality: Ming's daughter. Otherwise yes, the show is absolutely terrible. It seems so cheaply done for a SciFi Friday show too. Still, I'll watch a few more episodes, this may be one of those rare shows that improves from a terrible pilot episode.

Seriously, I know it is cheaper to film in Canada and everything but at least get different locations! Failing that, hire better writers and cast better actors!
