i thought they were saying that had his plan gone through, it would be down thta much, not that it is.

anyways SS sucks, i would much rather not pay SS, and take care of things myself, rather than have to pay for old people now and hope that the same will be done for me. i dunno about you, but that sounds like a gamble to me.

Younger people have to start voting! the only reason SS is still around is because most seniors vote, so is a political suicide to even mention killing it.

Is it true that SS is down 40% ??

SS is nothing but IOUs, it cant be down or up.

The market is down 40% off of its peak, but the market is still 2x as high as it was 10 years ago. All in all long term investers are not hurting too badly.

That is how it was orginally setup. The retirement age was above the average age of death. SS is and remains a very cruel tax.

I don't see what the republicans are complaining about with this clip. I think it's kinda funny. How many democrats on here actually want social security?

SS would be nice, but my retirement plans are based on SS not existing. I fully expect this scheme to fall flat on its face with my generation holding the bag.

For those who have lost huge amount into stock why bother gambling some more only to lose some more. It extremely risky for even the most skilled investor and with a few mistake it's ka boom!, I guess that how those crook live so good and have everything while we average joe or sucker for that silly game of theirs fall for their prey. It quick get rich for those scumbag who just shuffle your money around. Why do you think they're call broker in the first place. Can you trust them? hell no. putting just 1k in their hand make me very worry. have you ever thought what they do to make a living? obvously anyone who hasn't figure out obviously think they can get rich playing their games are bound to lose huge in the long run. We just all feeding them roaches to infest the internet and lure more people into scam. I'm fed up with them, kiss the stock market goodbye sometime soon cause we going to expose them for what they are.
