Hey i was wondering if anyone could give me a hand on flashing my BFG 6800GT into a Ultra, im also wondering if i should get a aftermarket cooling device for this, and if my ulra x-connect 500watt can power it if i do up the mhz... any help or tips and suggestions on doing this would be great.
All i know about this right now is...
The 6800Ultra core is 400MHz and the memory runs at 1100MHz.
The 6800GT core is 350MHz, and the memory runs at 1000MHz.
So can i just use a OC tool to do it, or is a bios flash nessasary?

OC tool will do it, x-connect can handle it, and stock cooling should do the trick... I coulda swore BFG came with a proggy that did it in like 1 click...
 
UPDATE: tried to play Sudeki with the new clock speeds, and they was some crazy shapes and dealys everywhere, it ran really smooth but the screen was filled triangle type shapes stretching the whole screen... ?


ok, i tried to oc and it worked, now im wondering should i leave it oc'd all the time or only oc it for games, or just flash the bios?
