I can take more and it NEVER shows up again. Why the randomness? Some people think they are ghosts, aliens, etc. but come on!

Standard photography uses polychromatic , incoherent light so this should not happen. I do realise that it's impossible to hold the camera in the same exact location because the ship is rolling but I've done this on land with the camera on the tripod and can duplicate the randomness as well. Sometimes there appears to be smoke in some pictures! :Q

I have several cameras and they are working perfectly. I have friends that have reported similar ocurrences.

It's dust in front of the lens.

You can tell it's an object with the lens distorting it, because if you examine the spot you can see a prismatic effect, the spot has blue fringing on the top left.

Dust can cause this and I think I will drag an interferometer up here to see what I can't see if you know what I mean. :)

Cheers!

I don't have a problem with Ghosts as long as they don't cut my Internet connection off! :)

Cheers!

That reminds me, I need to pick up a UV filter to keep dust away from my lens.
