ExMan:

Bush will pick up at least an extra 10,000 votes from the Jewish community here. No doubt about it. They are happy about the invasion, but deluded in my view.

I think it's comparable to many blacks that support "excess" social services. It sounds like a good idea but in the end it's more of a handicap than a helping hand.

There's going to be lots of millions made in florida by lawyers. Lawyers deciding law instead of legislature, now they decide elections. I should have listened to Willie Nelson.

Many early voters are black. They are energized almost beyond belief. We are calling them again tonight and many have already voted. This is going to be a huge turnout this year. The only way the Republicans may win is if they turn out more voters. I don't see it happening so far.

Hehe..

Are you sure?:p

Yes, because the rout is going to be too huge to contest successfully in court. That's why we've done this huge registration initiative down here, followed by an even larger get out the vote campaign.

Also, every one of the precinct leaders has a cell phone with the number of the lawyer standing by to intervene if we see challenges. Trust me, we are ready for the Nixonian style dirty tricks of the neocons.

Can't vote because I'm one month too young :(

Well, you can help your party do canvassing or help volunteer with events and such. You may influence more votes than your one.

I thought the press wasn't going to do the "exit polling" thing?

Has the legality of early voting been addressed yet?

That is an excellent question.

Among 16 percent of Florida voters who said they had cast early ballots, Kerry received 56 percent of those compared to Bush's 39 percent. [Editor's Note: NewsMax's Insider Report first revealed early voting results -- Click Here for Info.]

"This puts the pressure on the Bush campaign to get out more votes on Election Day," Richards said.

Or, is it a "Get Out The Vote" ploy by Spewsmax?

Amazing how you can post somethign from newsmax and act like its valid but anyone else does and you say its irrelevant.

The transformation is complete! You have become a liberal troll. ;-)

"Excess" Social services are services that benefit other people.

And you are completely and utterly clueless as to why this is actually a surprising development. Newsmax printing facts that Bush is getting trounced. If it's showing up there, it must be really bad for Bush.

Gravity:

We've had early voting for years in many states. No big deal and nothing illegal about it. It's a boon to Democrats in swing states, however. It's a boon to all of us because it means we are more likely to be ABLE to vote.

It's hard to believe that any of the early voters voted for Bush. I thought they were all loonie liberals!

If Democrats win, you get your man. I think that is fitting punishment!

Let's look at this logically, shall we?

Of 16% of all voters who said they voted early, 56% of them are voting Kerry in Florida.

WOW! I don't know how Bush can overcome such a setback! I mean, it would take a miracle for him to make a comeback now!!!!

Think about it! They polled around 1200 people. So of about 200 people (about 16% of 1200), around 110 of them voted for Kerry. Please tell me you're joking if you think this has ANY meaning whatsoever. It's 100% pure statistical manipulation. Their wording is so ambigous that there is an obvious attempt at deception. But then again, I would expect you to be mislead by something like this...

Of course, if Kerry had been getting 39% and Bush 56% in early voting you would have completely ignored that stat? Uh, right.

It's just a small number. I don't put huge significance on it, but it does suggest that the early returns are not going Bush's way. If you think it means more than that, then you've misread what I meant. I'm sure Conjur feels the same way, and might even give those numbers less weight than I do inasmuch as he isn't here in Florida fighting for every single vote like it was a bag of gold.

Great comment and I'm sorrry I'm replying so late. You are absolutely correct, but that is often the nature of political fights, particularly in recent years.

GW has been bitten by a bag full of stupid misnakes :) that have come back to haunt him. He is going to lose this election and be very very surprised. A lot of people on this board who are so confident Bush is going to win are also in for a big surprise. Everything is not coming up roses for Bush and Kerry is fighting like a dog FINALLY! (why wasn't he doing this two months ago?) Politics is little more than the art of mudslinging at a distance. :) j/k

True, but many I've spoken with see Kerry at his best when the chips are down. I think the grim situation in August got him rolling; the debates put him in high gear.

Much to my relief, I might add.

Better yet, don't do what he Dark just suggested.

DO NOT JOIN A PARTY!

Well Condor that is the sad state our democracy is in these days. We are stuck with a Turd Sandwich and a Giant Douche, to quote Southpark. Anyways, I don't believe that there is anything that John Kerry will do as President that will make things significantly worse for America because he is not reckless like Bush and he understands the hardships of war and the new state of war that we are in which cannot be won with miliatry force. I also don't believe that he will go straight down the party line like Bush has. Plus, Bush's evangelical religious agenda is damn scary. I was watching a documentary on CNN about the Evangelicals and my God, it just amazes me of the ignorance of some religious Christians. They showed a 6 or 7 year old girl saying flat out that anyone who does not accept Jesus Christ as their lord and savior will go to hell. Strong words for a 7 year old in my opinion.
