Fixing to graduate with my MIS degree...suggestions for getting up to date on technology?

Reading here? and other sites I assume? what else/where else do you guys recommend? I've started dropping apps already. Been away from the PC side of things for a couple months now. Went through a job change in november to get out of a bad situation. I'm not doing IT stuff currently but want to get back into it, but get into real IT this time. So what do you guys recommend?
