Fixing the rock band drum?

A friend of mine got Rock Band, and the yellow drum stopped working after about an hour of play. We have no idea how to fix it. We pulled off the cover (it easily detaches and reattaches) but there doesn't seem to be a clear reason for the malfunction. We pulled open a working drum (red) and there is no obvious difference between the two (ie damage or a cause for the problem). We put the red drum back on and it works still. Anyone have this problem?

You are correct. My drum set was literally hit or miss every time you hit a drum pad.

I went online for support last Friday, and this past Thursday I received my package with the new drums. I tested them out, and I knew instantly I wasn't as bad as the game made me out to be. It was the drum pads!

Long story short, it is decently quick. Do it on a Monday, get it by Friday or early. If it weren't for the weekend I'm sure it would have been here quicker.
