fixing the power buttom...

You know the power button...how it has 4 wires sticking out, that you put into the mobo to power it on. I accidentally got them out(long story), it had only two stuck in, now I keep trying different combos in the 8 pins and none work...sometimes if i put my screw driver between the pins it works...but then gets stuck on start up, and i cant restart it or shutdown using the power button and i have to pull the power plug. How do I fix this? 🙁

So when you start it with a screwdriver, you just short out the two power pins for a second to boot it, but it freezes up?

Check your motherboard manual for where the power button should plug in. There should only be two pins you need to short out with the button.

kk fixed it...I kept trying different combos...and found one that works. 😛 Everything all good now.
