Hmm, not sure this is the right forum, but then I didn't see anything that matched any better than this and technically a TV is a video product.
Is there any way to fix a television whose picture is misaligned? This happened to me first with my old television, where the picture wouldn't extend all the way to the bottom of the screen. Slowly the bottom of the television became more and more cramped with a larger and larger blank space until it was unusable and I threw it out.
Now something similar is happening with my current one! Seems like the picture is just too high by a bit. The very top of the picture seems like its cut off, and on the bottom I can just start to makeout those weird moving bars that they encode subtitles and stuff into on the part of the tv picture is normally too low to see. Is there anything I can do, or is this just something that happens to tvs as they get old?
