I've always typed a few letters in the URL bar which brought up sites in a pulldown list that I could go to to get to a site I wanted.
After a bunch of OS updates recently, the behavior changed.
When I typed those letters, the pulldown was three search engine icons (google, bing, and another). It was wanting one to be clicked to search the letters which is not what I wanted.
I tried a few things to fix it. I went in tools and removed all but Google. That only made it have one icon to do the search I don't want.
I tried disabling Google also and that just made it do nothing but try to treat the letters as a URL.
Any idea how to undo this bad change and get the old functionality of how it would use a few letters you type to list sites from your history? This is Win 7.
