My 4 yr old son got into my PSB Silveri's and poked the soft domes in the center of the drivers, leaving them dented. Is there any way to restore them?

Thanks,

aha...did some googling and came up with prospects

a) listen to the speakers and decide if it matters to you.

1) use paper towel roll...put over cone and suck gently to create vacuum to pop out dome
2) Try with real vacuum if needed. Be very careful and sure that vacuum is disengaged before removing from speaker. I have a variable speed vacuum that should be helpful here.
3) try gently attaching tape to dome to pull
4) if necessary bend a straight pin and stick through and use to raise from behind

any more thoughts?

my dad had a dent in his asw-675 once. the tape trick worked, using some duct tape. that was a very stiff cone though.

On really hard to pull ones I have used a bent pin and then when done a dab of glue to seal the hole. I really depends on the material of the speaker. I once had a set of speakers that had aluminum cones. Those were sexy. Sounded good too.
