A teachers hard drive went out, I bought a new one, installed it, put WinME on it etc. She doesn't have the drivers that came with the box and I can't find the right ones. It is a POS, everything is integrated, Modem, NIC, Sound, Video. It's a Celeron 400 and the Motherboard has 1 PCI and 1 ISA and both Slot1 and Socket370. It's a real mess. I have d/l most of the drivers from Sis's sight and none of them work for any part of this thing.

I don't know what to do, I can't even find a name on the Mobo, I just know it has SiS everything...

Please help if you can.

The video chipset i believe it is using is the SiS630, which is built in the chipset itself. As for sound, you would have to look at the chip soldered on the board. Most cheap integrated stuff is from C-media or Crystal. As for network and modem, that's a little harder to determine. But the only thing that would be SiS is the video. You will have to search for everything else

ID the board (who made it...) like Amptron, PCchips, Matsonic... you can get a new drives disk with the info just email them and tell them its lost...

Should be some #`s on it somewhere (on the PCB itself)... Also at the post screen on the bottom you should see the maker & model # rev# also...

That board should be a PC-Chips. I had one here in a system I repaired. It was a pain but I got it all working. You can get the drivers for 98 at least on the PC-Chips site. They should work in ME hopefully. Here is a link to PC-Chips. PC-Chips Link It might be a PC-Chips M741LMRT. Does your board have both Socket 370 & Slot 1? If so this is probably it. I checked and for each board they make there are complete drivers for IDE, Video, Audio, NIC and modem on their site. Hope this helps and your board is a PC-Chips.

It might be a PC-Chips M741LMRT like Dennis said, or it could be a M748LMRT. Your board is probably one of these two, but here are some pics of them so you can compare:

M741LMRT

M748LMRT

They both have the SiS 620/5595 chipset. They also have the same sound/modem/LAN setup also, I believe.

Here are the specs on the PC-Chips website: M741LMRT M748LMRT

and links to some current drivers:

IDE - try the uide102

video

sound (CMI 8738)

modem

LAN (should be Davicom DM9102 chip)

hope that works for ya

several companies market this kind of board, ECS p6setml etc, for instance. it's got a familiar lineup to me. does it have the HSP56 micromodem?
