Fixing a wacky HDD?

To make a long story short, a RAID 0 that I was running got corrupted. Now, I want to format the two disks back into functioning drives.

I installed Windows onto a temporary drive, and I'm running that now. If I chain one of the drives as a slave to this temporary drive, however, its name comes up as garbage on POST. Once I'm in Windows, I see no drive under My Computer.

My question is, how can I access the drive and format it under NTFS so that it's a normal, functioning HDD again?

Thanks!

a) What do you mean "got corrupted"?
b) Does the offending drive get detected correctly in the BIOS if it's the only one connected?

Right now it just sounds like you've got a bad HD.
