Fixing a Memory Slot - Anyone know

Friend messed up his DIMM slot off a xeon board.. so these are not the 50 dollar board you can replace.. they're 400 bucks.. Basically he slipped and I guess broken off the connector or the little pins.. Any one know of a cheap way to remove the slot and put a new one up.. If you guys know a good online place that does it cheap.. thanks.
 
he broke a memory slot not a capacitor, the little plastic slots, fixing a memory slot wont cause the whole motherboard to fail. It still works if you hold ur hand near the plastic slot to secure the memory but you can't do that all the time.

Ah, I thought you had actually broken it to the point where it stopped working. If it's just a question of securing the memory, you should be able to jury-rig something to hold it in there. You could even use a couple drops of superglue/epoxy -- but you aren't ever gonna get it *out* after that!
