Fixing a cracked plastic bowl?

My girlfriend has a big white plastic bowl with watermelon designs on it that she absolutely loves, but it fell and cracked today. Is there any way we can glue it together and use something to seal the crack so it can be used again? We'd throw it away except that it has great sentimental value to my girlfriend.

It's in one piece, it just has a large crack down one side. It doesn't need to tolerate high heat, it's basically just used to serve fruit salad, pudding, etc.

I couldn't really think of any place to put this besides General Hardware, even though it's not exactly computer related.

LOL, actually P&N would be a much Better choice they are fixing there evrey thing that is Cracked/Broken. 😉

Close the crack and put on the out side along the crack a piece of transparent tape that is used for sealing shipping boxes.

Then smear in the inside with transparent Liquid nail.

When the liquid Nail is dry take off the tape.
 
Giving all the choices and that the OP is a technical problem 😉, I would consider the Bowl General Hardware.

DSF puts a lot of time helping others on this forum.

Even if it is a little Off, No reason to get upset and start using foul language.

I agree with Jack MDS. I would cement the bowl with a good, strong cement such as Gorilla Glue. Then complete cover the inside of the bowl with a clear epoxy so as to totall seal the crack. That can become a harbor for bacteria.

Also, look for a brand and model label on the bottom, and see if you can find a replacement.

Yep, already tried that. Any recommendations on something to seal it with that would be non-toxic?
 
Look on the bottom of the bowl for the symbol that identifies the type of plastic used for making the bowl. Many plastic items have those, for ease of identification for recycling.

Once you identify the plastic, you might have better insight into what kinds of adhesives/solvents might be effective.
