Whoa... That machine is ancient.

The ThinkPad

The 755C was a "power notebook" for its day. My particular model retailed for almost US$4000 when it was introduced, way back in late 1994. It came with a Intel 486DX2 or DX4, from 4 to 36 MB of memory, an active matrix color screen, and a pair of PCMCIA (known as PC Card these days) slots.

The specs on my machine:

* 75 MHz DX4 Processor
* 20 MB RAM
* 540 MB Hard Drive (originally 340 according to the model codes on the bottom of the machine)

I received the computer with a third party replacement AC adapter and battery from a company called Xtend Micro Products. Battery life seems to be between 2 and 4 hours, running X, although I haven't been very scientific about measuring it.

Anything spec'd less than a PIII/256MB/20GB will run like a$$ on Win2k or XP.

Yep, 512mb min. Gotta go through my stash. I think there are some P3s in there somewhere. Definately got some R31s lying around. My wife would love it if I got rid of all of it in one shot.

Doesnt seem worth it. They are probably busted. It's like buying those "mystery" amount gift cards on Ebay. It could be $500, but odds are it 3cents.
