You want to play multiplayer, you're expected to buy multiple copies. Technically what you're doing is piracy, even if your guests delete the program after they leave.

Also-
Many games use cd-copy-protections that are difficult if not impossible to copy with a normal burner. The best way to defeat these cd-checks is if you use a cracked .exe file that simply doesnt check the cd at all. You may want to check out www.gamecopyworld.com for future LAN Parties / Piracy Sessions.

What you are talking about is stealing. Each machine that is running this game MUST have a valid licence (original cd) The warcraft III cd is copy protected. There is a crack available for it but you still need a unique cd key for network play on each machine. I don't think that it's practical or ethical for you to do this. Just buy another copy. It's wrong.

mrdudeman, most of the time you are not allowed to use the router anyway, that is also against policy.

HOWEVER, multiplayer network games within your house should NOT require separate keys. as you said "you should be able to do what you want to in your own house"

i'm not much into games, but i say its ok to do that

That's correct. His EULA does not allow the software to be installed on more then one PC at a time let alone let them all be played together on a network.

What you do in your house is your business AS LONG AS YOU DON'T BREAK THE LAW!!!! This is stealing. You are not entitled to instal your copy on multiple computers. Each system needs it own original CD.
It's illegal and you're a dirty thief especially for rationalizing it like you do your theft from your internet provider.

Mods, this guy is asking how to pirate software (install his copy on more then one machine using a crack) in the forums. Doens't that deserve a vacation?
