I put my comp into standby and when I turned it back on no sidebar. I did a sys restore to no avil. What should I do. I click sidebar.exe multiple times and it will not start :( any fix?


edit: seems ati.dll is missing. I think that might be the problem, no clue though


Edit2: well 2 hours of googling finally paid off, it seems when your Set UAC Setting to Level 0 there's some issues. Setting UAC to level 1 and a restart to make settings take effect fixed it like a charm

I think that's because Gadgets run with Low Privileges in Protected Mode similar to Internet Explorer 7 in Vista (and Internet Explorer 8 in 7). Disabling UAC also disables the Gadgets. This is, I believe, by design.
