OK, i'm usually in here to help ppl, but in this case i need suggestions, i am at a loss with this and was hoping someone might have an idea we or i havnt tried yet.

The system is a Rack mount server, using board model in title. Has 2 AMD 1800MP processors in it. Has 2 GB Ram (4 sticks of 512 KVR266X72C25/512 from Kingston). Graphics card is a high end Nvidia card, but that doesnt make a difference here (weve tried other cards). Basically what happens is when the power is flipped on, all fans spin, HDD spins up, but the video never comes on the screen. Things weve tried...

-Swapping video card out for another of same kind - no change
-Swapping all peices of ram out for a new set of 4 - no change
-Taking all ram out and trying several, each in turn, in DIMM slot 1 - no change
-Trying a different KNOWN working AGP card - no change
-Trying a different known working PCI video card - no change
-Swapped cpu's, first both with no change, then one at a time - no change
-Hooked board up outside of case to eliminate grounding issues - no change
-Checked all drives and connections to ensure snug fit and accuracy - everything was right

I am at a total loss here, weve pretty much eliminated grounding issues with the board, faulty cpu's, faulty video, faulty ram and faulty wiring as any cause for this not to work. With the only thing left being the board, i RMA'd the board to TYAN, they returned it saying they found no problems.

HELP!

if ive missed anythign weve done, or if i remember anything else weve tried i will add it here, but anyone please reply if you have any idea at all what might be an additional possible problem. I'm willing to try anything at this point, i dont get it.

Try setting the board up on a wooden desk, or rest it on top of an antistatic bag and then try powering it up. This will ensure that the mobo is not shorting out in the case.

AHA! FIXED!

appreicate any responses, but it was the absolute last thing i would have expected, the power supply, only because everything was powering on still. the voltage must have been jsut right so it wouldnt boot, but still run all the devices. thanks guys, and an FYI for anyone with similar problem, TRY THE POWER SUPPLY! its one of the cheapest parts in the computer!
