First let me give you a link to the printer to see how it looks, Z705.

Now first the wheels are turning backward so as a result they push the paper back out. If I try feeding it from the front (silly I know) the paper gets pushed out the back about 2 in and gets jammed. Lexmark has been no help. Any ideas? The computer is using WinXP Home.

Thank you!

Ouch. Looks like I'll need a new printer. Am I correct in hearing that Epson and Canon are better then Lexmark and HP? Thank you!

HPs are good printers, but expensive to run, as are Epsons. However, Canons I love :)
My six-year-old BJC-4100 is still going strong, and my dad's new MP370 is verrrry nice!

Go with Canon, they`ve the cheapest inks around(for both Canon and generic brands) also depending on your price range the Canon i560 and i865 is what I would recommend, unless you need 6 colur ink printer then the i965 is a great choice.

Btw I`m using the i865 at the moment(only 2 weeks old) and I think it`s awesome :).

Yup. Just make sure you do some printing on a semi-regular basis (maybe couple prints a week) to make sure the printhead doesn't dry out. Replacement's around 80 bucks CN

Oh, and Canon cartridges are very easy to refil, no chips in them like Epson to enforce the Empty-Cartridge syndrome. :)

Wow that is one of the more bizarre things I have heard. I have a Lexmark Z705 here and it works perfectly. I've had it for quite a while and it runs without any hiccups at all. This is by far one of the best printers I have owned. I also have an Epson Stylus C60 connected to this PC that has also given us good years. When a huge EMP blast from a lightning strike took out most of our computer electronics, it only nailed the parallel port portion of the printer.

I would also say to return it or get rid of it somehow. I have absolutely no idea how that could happen, even if it was a PICNIC problem. I would say Canon, Epson, Lexmark AND HP are the best. This is because, while all have some disadvantages, they are all very good and everyone will have at least one bad apple or two.
