Fixed Overhead Lighting? Or lamps, portables and other??

As I lay here looking at the ceiling fan I'm about to replace due to a noisy motor, I realized I hardly ever use any of the overhead lighting in any room in the house. It's all lamps, and accent lighting of one kind or another, cabinets, under shelf, etc..

I have overhead in every room, either light kits on ceiling fans, track lights or in one area recessed fixtures, but I just don't use them much.

I guess I just don't like bright light unless I really need it.

overhead and ceiling fans in every bedroom and in the main living space for us, plus copious led can lights everywhere else.

Just avoid anything with integrated LED lights. Better off getting traditional socketed fixtures and putting LED bulbs in them IMO. Im in the process of replacing LED fixtures right now that failed after 3 years of home use. Cant find matching ones to the ones that died, plus instead of just replacing a bulb, Im having to throw out the whole thing. So much for 10 year lifespan.

Replacements are available that will fit any size can. Thirty bucks at the homie.
