Hey all. I just spent the better part of the day setting up one of my systems for IDE RAID. It sounds simple enough, but when your working with a 120 lb computer with lots of tiny screws and sharp edges, EVERYTHING'S an ordeal.

All is well, except for the fact that my floppy drive isn't working. leaving me no way to install any drivers. When I power on the computer, the drives activity light just stays on all the time, and it won't read disks. I booted the system with a zip disk and tried to switch to drive a, and got this farmiliar error:

Not ready reading drive A:
Abort, Retry, Fail?

I need help urgently. I have made sure the power and floppy cables are connected tightly, and are on the right way. At least I think the floppy cable is on the right way, the "bump" is on top.

Flip the cable the other way. I posted the same problem a couple of weeks ago, just to feel like an idiot. I betcha it'll work. It drove me crazy, cause I thought I had it right too.

Clear cut case of floppy drive cable flip! I actually had a bad cable once, but it was an older cable.
