I was having what appears to be a pretty common problem with my Onkyo receiver. I would turn on the receiver and it would take from 5 to 10 minutes to get a signal to the TV over HDMI.
It's the receiver that came with the S6100 HTIB, the HT-R667. Apparently this is pretty much identical to the SR606. I found some forum posts and a video online: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gj0x5S9ez5U
Replaced the capacitors he pointed out in the video and it works perfectly. Just wanted to post here in case anyone else has the same problem and can't find the solution. Soldering isn't nearly as hard as I thought.
