*FIXED** Moving mouse causes 100% usage on core one...

So, I installed Adobe CS3. Everything worked fine. Then I restarted my pc, and everything went to hell.

Random freezes, moving the mouse caused 100% usage on core one. and the mouse movements were choppy and slow.

I don't know whats wrong.

I reverted to microsoft drivers (from Logitech) and uninstalled Logitech Setpoint (csrss.exe is still running)

And now I can move around windows more. But it still goes to 100% usage when I move the mouse (although it doesn't affect it as much)

Any ideas?

I need to try to solve this fast so I can get building a website for a company...

Yes I do have an idea, try system restore back to before you installed photoshop cs3 and see if the problem is still there, if not try reinstalling photoshop and see if the same thing happens.

So you restored your computer back to a time when you were not having the trouble? When it was done did it say the restore was successful? Or did it come back and say it could not be restored? If it was restored and it's still doing this perhaps your hd got put into PIO mode. Even if the restore did not work, then perhaps still take a look at this page.

Before you do that though you could try going into your bios and reset the settings just to make sure nothing there is causing a problem.

I figured it out. Somehow my overclock that passed over 12 hours of orthos decided to become unstable.

Considering its been at that for over 2 weeks with no problems, I didn't expect it.

Taking it from 3.15 to 3.0 and lowering the voltage worked 🙂

Thanks for your help!
