Has anyone been able to get a Linksys WMP11 working on FreeBSD 4.7 Stable? On my machine the card is detected, but the network runs around 200bytes/sec.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hardware:

Abit VP6
2x P3 800
256 MB PC133
Linksys WMP11 PCI Wireless NIC
40GB Maxtor HDD

Ifconfig DHCP sets to correct SSID, picks up an IP, sets to infrastructure/BSS mode.

In case anyone else has a similar issue I thought I'd post:

The driver has a problem with the older firmware. On the Linksys site you can't download firmware for the WMP11, only for the WMP11-CA (ENG). On a guess I tried updating with the other model's firmware and it worked like a charm.

A couple of notes:
1. The newer firmware (1.0.7 I think) is available, but kinda hidden, and updating to this fixed some problems I had with OpenBSD and this card.
2. The newer versions of the card use a broadcom chipset instead of the Prism 2.5 (this was changed without warning anywhere on the box), and if anyone knows a Unix-like OS that supports it, please let me know :)
