I have been using an Intellimouse Explorer on my G4 Mac (I have to use a Mac for Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. it really is easier to use on a Mac). It had full functionality untill my boss turned off a lot of my extensions.

I have turned on all of the extensions that I can think of that would help. I dl'ed the driver from Tucows and installed it fresh. I still have none of my extra functionality back. It will move the pointer and click, that's it.

I need to be able to use my scroll wheel and would really like to be able to right click again. I am pretty Mac illiterate, but as I said, I have to use it.

Are there any Mac gurus around here that can help me out????

Please!

Thanks!

Souns like you need to re-install the Intellimouse Software, or re-download it (it's about 15 Megs though!). The Scroll wheel and back and forward buttons actually work without the software (OS9.0 and up), but the right click, and other explorer mouse functions need the drivers.

LethalWolfe - thanks for the link. I gave them a crack at it.

mattyrug - I am running OS9.2. I can only click. There is no support for any of the other functions. I d/l'd the driver from MS and from Tucows. The driver I found was only 1MB though. Is there another driver I am missing?

Thanks!!!

There were multiple instances of the intellimouse, explorer, and intellieye in the extensions manager. I deleted all but the Explorer extension and it started working like a champ.

Thanks agian fo rthe link to MacRumors. Pretty good bunch of people for such a new board.

Of course, Anadtech is still the greatest!
