Sorry for the double, just thought of a question. Would this power supply be good for a 3.0ghz 800mhz fsb cpu and an 865 intel board? 2 optical, 2 hd, and a 9700 or 9800 pro?? thanks

Ditto. Ordered two. I don't have any place to put them. :)
$12,065.00 of cases in my shopping cart. I guess I could put a few in the attic. Only ordered five, so far. :)

Fvck. I was just checking e-mail and ended up spending money. Anyhow, $25 shipped for a decent ATX case is hard to refuse beside I really need one.

Thx

if you want an ATX one or at least a better looking microatx since the one that is $20 sucks, i'd look at the other cases.

there is a $25 full atx (similar looking to the $20 one, but will fit frys combos obviously), as well as a couple $25 microatx that have free shipping the same power supply . the 2 other microatx have acrylic front too and come with a case fan it appears. probably worth the $5 since the $20 looks like ass.

Excellent deal. I decided to splurge and spend the extra $5 to get the $30 CF-6029 case. Thx for the post.

I dunno, kinda like the looks of the $20 case, because it's sleek. Already have enough distracting/flashy cases, so that plain one might blend in well, be inconspicuous if painted flat grey.

On the other hand, these do look like the Codgen et al cases, which are a bit flimsy... metal is .6mm thick IIRC, compared to 1mm for something like an Antec. That can be easily overlooked though, for $20-30 it's the best deal out there just to be able to deal with Newegg instead of who-knows-what.

I wonder if something like pickup bed liner coating would stick well to these. Maybe not, but carpeting might be good instead. Hmmmmm.

CHEAP, MODDABLE ass, dang it! Don't forget CHEAP and MODDABLE, ass though it may be.

I must have a run of really bad luck coming. First, the Outpost.com 64MB DIMMs for $5 a pop. Then, the $17 Celeron from Directron, which I bought without even having a motherboard to put it in. Then I stumble across a Socket 370 FC-PGA board in Newegg's refurbs for $29. Now this. All the parts I need for Alice (American McGee's, not Resident Evil's... that one's going to have to be bigger, and with a beefier CPU), AND a case to put her in if the parts won't fit in the Mac+ case. If I find a 10.5" LCD for cheap in the next few days, I'm going to have to make out a will, as I'm certain it'll mean I'm going to get hit by a falling satellite, or a turd ejected from the space station, or something similarly humiliating and fatal. :D

Only two models of cases left and most of the mini barebones. I guess not so many like the style I got as it is among the remainig units.

Chyang Fun Barebones AMD Black PC Model CF-S768BK OEM

$120

It's a mini pc. I know it doesn't come with a lot of stuff. But from what I can tell, All i need is

1 CPU
1 CD-ROM
1 Harddrive
1 RAM
1 Video Card (Maybe there's an integrated one)

And that's it right? I should be up and running? with a nice movie PC?

Hmmm it looks like it's now 90$. Seems kinda HOT but can anyone comment on the chipset of the mobo?
Main Chipset: SIS 740/961 chipset
Memory:Support DDR266/200 SDRAM up to 2G
Graphic: On board AGP

I think I'm gonna jump on this one... (darn shouldn't have ordered the other chyang fun 25$ case).

The P4 mini, aluminum with a window, looks nice for $130 $140. That is about 1/2 the going price. It has a 220W PSU and an AGP slot. Too bad the AMD ones not only lack the AGP slot, but they only have a 150W power supply.
