*FIXED! HOORAY!!* FEDEX order says the pkg is COD. It's not, I paid in full already. Do I refuse it?

Got off the phone with etech; they called FEDEX while I was on hold and straightened out the mess. FEDEX made the error, they did not. I should get it today!

Hey all. I just can't have a damn easy day. :disgust:

I ordered something online. Paid for it w/my CC. CC has been charged already. They shipped it.

I knew they'd be delivering today, so I left a note on the door:

FEDEX, please leave package at office, they will sign for it. Thanks.

I get home and FEDEX guy left a sticky on the door.

Cannot leave package because it's COD. Need to collect money.

WTF? I call up 1 800 GOFEDEX and explain it. The woman says "Oh, I see here..it's not COD...we'll have him leave it at the office tomorrow."

I left another note on my door (for tomorrow) telling the FEDEX guy that it's not COD and I cleared it up w/customer service. I even left him the 1800 number for the company I purchased from.

What do you think about my actions? Sufficient or not?


What are the chances this is going to get screwed up again? What to do? Refuse shipment?

I think you'll have luck with FedEx, they should have the error corrected.

Um...uh...OK. All the info on my switch.

I determined that for my purposes, it wasn't cost effective to get a gigabit switch. The entire network is CAT5e+ rated (UTP/Keystones/RJ45's/patch cords/etc) so I should be OK.

I really like your SFF rig!! I've never seen a case like that before. It's neat how the mobo tray swings down like that! Nice and quiet too, I'll bet.

Believe it or not, I paid $113 for the switch at etechwarehouse.com Newegg wants $123 + $6 shipping, IIRC. I just went to Cnet and did a price comparo thing.

Free FEDEX ground too. Which I'm having a problem with now...(another thread) b/c I think they shipped the package as COD, but it's paid in full already.

I was on the phone with FEDEX customer service last night and I think I got it straightened out. I need to call etechw. now. *punching buttons*
