installed the latest ati drivers, now I have links to "ATI catalyst control center" in all sorts of right-click menus, including the one on the desktop!

also, in windows explorer, this thing got added to the top of the File menu! wtf!

any ideas how to get rid of this?

how to remove it, without screwing around in registry:
Go to Start>Run... Then type in:
regsvr32 /U "C:\Programme\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\atiacmxx.dll" and ENTER. You have to adjust the path to the dll, of course.

i no mind the ccc, i just don't need the extra links to it in the many menus around OS... the context menu on the desktop has a link to the ccc, bloody hell! I understand how to get to it without all the extra links cluttering my menus.

with that in mind, any ideas how to remove extra links from context menu on the desktop, and the File menu in windows explorer?

go here there's a link for Driver Cleaner PRO (latest version, still FREE)

uninstall everything, use the cleaner in safe mode, and you should be good to go!

I need the catalyst control center for when I switch my monitor (2005FPW) between landscape and portrait modes. Does anyone know of a utility that can do this?
