Fixed 4072 Win9x driver now available at NVIDIA

NVIDIA claims to have fixed the problems many people were experiencing when installing the 4072 driver. See the note posted at their site regarding this. The fixed driver dated Nov 12 th, is available for DL at the NVIDIA website. I just DL'd them but have not installed them yet so I can't say how they work.

Just got them installed. Everything went fine. Uninstalled the 3082's, ran Detonator Destroyer , then installed the fixed 4072 without any problem. So far they seem to work good. The main game I play is Tiger Woods 2002 which needs a lot of power to run smooth. It plays well with my P4-1.6a and Gainward Ti4200 Golden Sample 128mb video card. The 4072 driver seems to have made the game play a little smoother, but this is only subjective on my part. Picture quality is very good, although it was very good with the 3082's.

What's Detonator Destroyer? And where can I get it? Thanks

Detonator Destroyer is a utility to clean up left over NVIDIA driver files. You can get it HERE at Guru 3D

Damn, the Det Destroyer only works for Win9x platforms

Try NVCLEANER which you can also get at the guru3d site. Look in the download>videocard utilities section.
