Is there a way to run these utilities without using the repair CD? Long story short...

I installed RH8, used it for a while alongside WinXP (on my laptop) - dual booting w/Grub.
Recently decided I needed more free room and was using Redhat on a different box.
I used PM8 to repartition the Linux size, giving it all back to XP, but grub is still loaded...but now requires me to enter everything manually (rootnoverify (hd0,0); chainloader +1 ; boot) rather than just boot, which ticks my g/f off. :)
My XP CD is at work right now...

Any way I can easily fix the mbr from within XP?

why dont you just boot off the CD?

Or U can pop in the CD and type winnt32 /cmdcons to install the recovery console on your computer so U wont need the CD

Because the CD is at work right now. All I can get to is the grub loader...which is no problem for me, but a PITA for my g/f.
