This is like an 8 year old Torin Black Jack 3 ton jack. Looks like seals have gone and it's spraying fluid out under load. Do you guys normally try and fix these, or just pony up for a new floor jack? If the latter, and favorites out there? Need something capable of lifting a 4x4 truck, so 19" or so lift is needed. Thanks.

I've never had a floor jack leak and both of mine are probably 15+ years old.

Never had one fail yet. Best bet is take out the hydraulic cylinder and see if it can be disassembled to replace the faulty seal. You may need to take it to a shop that specializes in hydraulic work. Or maybe, try to buy a new cylinder. All else fails, time to replace the jack.

If you can find a rebuild kit for it, it may be worth it. Otherwise Torin is usually a throw away brand.
