fix for xvid

You can't "change" it with the flip of a switch. They're two different codecs.

If all you're doing is playback, go get ffdshow (google it, too lazy to link) and use that.

When done correctly Xvid encoded movies look better anyway. Get ffdshow like MFH said......it is a lot easier than re-encoding.

No, I'm talking about a fix for xvid in which everything looks green. There's a fix that allows you to change a tag or something from xvid to divx, i don't know what's it's called. Anyone know what it's called?

yeah, i was using an beta build of Nimo. it's crappy.

what is the fascination people have with these stupid codec packs? No offense but how many of those codecs do you actually need? All they do is mess up your system.

Divx/Xvid + AC3 + FFDshow = plays everything.

Kind of unrelated, but on my laptop, viewing movies in Winamp 3 causes a very noticeable blue shift, while playing them with WMP 6.4 is fine. Any idea why this is?
