That sux. I always thought Hawaii had an elite group or section known as Five-O.

We are going there in the fall and I wanted to check out their headquarters as part of our trip.

Oh well.

:disgust:

If it really was an "elite group or section," do you honestly think you'd be allowed to get anywhere near their offices?

I tell you, back in the day, Jack Lord was the King Sh!t. That dude was so smooth, and tough as nails, with bullet-proof hair, and he rolled deep with his posse. Always tellin' Dano to "Book him" and sh!t. Now that's a man's man.

OMG, dude you totally cracked me up! An elite squad...IN HAWAII?!? What were they cracking down on illegal coconut plantations or something?? Making sure the grass skirts stay up? Keeping the leis fresh?

But if you really wanna check out elite crime fighting, I suggest you look up the Knight Foundation or the Phoenix Foundation when you come back stateside.

The real building used for their HQ exterior is still around, I believe. You could also take modern photos to match scenes from the opening. I think 5-0 was a mostly fictional state "Major Crimes" unit.

If that doesn't satisfy you, you're pretty silly for believing something you saw on TV.

The 5-0 is for real fools! ;)

...but anyways, got this from the Hawaii 5 - 0 FAQ:

Is there a real "Hawaii Five-O" -- a state police agency?
-Hawaii does not and never did have a state police force.

Why was it called Five-O, anyway?
-Hawaii was the fiftieth state in the union.
