Sigh. And as I say yet again, "what you're suggesting is a reality now, and a result of our current system."

You're just part of the other "status quo" crowd. People don't want real change. Look at the complete bullshit Obama fed the Democrats. "Hope and Change, woohoo." They got shit on. Now the Republicans, i.e, the tea party movement, are doing the same thing. Eating up this "change" bullshit spoon-fed to them by the GOP. Anyone offing actual change is labeled a clown, and the American people eat that shit up, too.

Please, I am far from "status quo" but nor am I somebody who thinks that 19th century economics and social policies are what we should be striving for. This type of polarity thinking is for those who will never be satisfied with life. Even if you got your wish of "small government" you'll quickly realize that those times sucked.

I always get a kick out of people who think that dirt roads, no major medical system, no major infrastructure, and an agrarian/small manufacturing economy is the best option. Then they also think that businesses will look out for themselves, by proxy looking out for the "people". Yet you get something like Hungary, or the Koch brothers.

You must be thinking of some other LegendKiller
Palin, above all else, is an attention whore bent on being as divisive as she can get in order to get headlines. She is shallow, a thin veneer of "intelligence" that really has no substance. She hasn't done one thing in her life that would amount to being successful, except for being Alaska governor and then quitting...If I were a conservative woman I would take a long hard look at why I would want this insipid moron representing me. Personally, I don't know a single woman who sees her as an inspiring woman figure. Instead, she's considered an embarrassment.

Five myths about Sarah Palin:

1) She really does read things like newspapers and has a familiarity with world events.
2) She is really just a sweet, foxy momma who isn't a prima donna and who isn't petty and vindictive.
3) Her family life is a model that the rest of the country should aspire too.
4) If she was butt ugly she would still be a successful politician.
5) She really can see Russia from her house.

Assuming you're not being sarcastic/kidding.

1) When asked what news papers/magazines/etc she reads, she couldn't give any definitive answer. A familiarity with world events is irrelevant. I have a familiarity with world events. That doesn't make me qualified to be POTUS.

2) That is a matter of opinion, and I'm not commenting on it's accuracy.

3) Yes, we all should aspire to raise kids who are pregnant themselves before graduating high school. Great idea!

4) Most likely true. Generally politicians don't get elected based on their looks, but instead based on their credentials/statements/beliefs/affiliations/etc.

5) You may want to educate yourself. Here is a link to help (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sou...,-152.050781&spn=67.999058,157.324219&t=h&z=3). That links to the google map of her home. She cannot see Russia from it.

Yes, the post was sarcasm.

The only voters that find Palin more insulting than do Democrats, are Independents.

In fact, Palin is pretty good metric for why Independents exist. The notion that the two parties are so fucking bassackwards and simply have no clue how to put up a viable candidate, let alone a functional party platform, is what drives Independents into their general disillusionment of the 2 party system.

Palin's popularity amongst these fringe lunatics that call themselves teabaggers is also a good measure of how far beyond the line of relevance these people are willing to drive themselves.

LOL! Some do think it is time to go the other way!

I think it's about time we voted for senators with breasts. After all, we've been voting for boobs long enough.

LOL, yeah 19th century economics. As if central banking and fractional reserve banking are "modern" ideas. They were the ideas of crooked bankers many years ago, and they still love them today.

And thank god, Most do not especially if it's Palin at the helm. If she is the head runner for the republican party (I see no one else stepping up to the plate sadly) it will be another EASY win for Obama.

Sheesh, anyone that supports her has a few screws loose.

Her "family value" ticket should be laughed at, not admired. She allows her slut of a daughter to run around TV instead of being at home raising her kid. BTW, during all of these visits, who is raising Palin's special needs kid? They require constant attention. Nanny?

Why is it that Obama can say his kids are off limits yet left wing haters such as yourself are allowed to attack Palin's kids?

I thought I wandered into Comedy Central. I especially liked all the pretentious details.

Definately the best laugh I've had since a Palin speech earlier this week when she said "remember that old saying-either lead, follow or get out of the way." I thought she was talking about her governorship and bailing out on Alaska when the shit hit the fan, but she was too clueless of the self parody she is.

Obama's kids are still school children, not charging $30K for speaking engagements, not posing for family values magazine spreads, and not dancing on TV. Bristol is her own spin-off franchise now. I realize the difference may be too subtle for the kool-aid drinkers to pick up on so I hope that clarifies things.

From Wiki -

The Palins have five children: sons Track (b. 1989)[48] and Trig Paxson Van (b. 2008), and daughters Bristol Sheeran Marie[261] (b. 1990), Willow (b. 1994), and Piper (b. 2001)[4][262] Track enlisted in the U.S. Army on September 11, 2007,[263] and was subsequently assigned to an infantry brigade. He and his unit deployed to Iraq in September 2008 for 12 months.[264] Palin's youngest child, Trig, was prenatally diagnosed with Down syndrome.[265]

So, which of the kids that are still in school or in diapers would you like to pick for political attacks as a way to destroy their mother?

"When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed"

Joe Biden - 9/24/2008

You seem to be forgetting the financial reform bill, stimulus bill, and the (boogieman) bailout bill, all of which were passed (like everything else done in the past two years) with nearly universal GOP politician opposition. Hardly just talk, but serious efforts to remedy some of the damage caused by the previous GOP presidency.

And PJabber, thank you for agreeing with me that it was a positive step for Alaska for Palin to resign as governor. How you can be so deluded to think she could ever handle the infiniately harder job of the Presidency escapes me, but hey, go have a nice steaming cup of Kopi Luwak from your De' Longhi Prima Donna coffee machine and enjoy the fantasies.

A twenty-first century politician said a president addressed the nation on television when he meant radio. A truly scathing indictment that entirely undercuts any credibility he has.

I never thought that Ms Palin lost the 2008 POTUS election. After the GOP National convention, Mr McCain and Ms Palin were within measurement error in a couple polls. I thought Ms Palin was a big asset to the GOP POTUS ticket. What happened is the economy crashed and the country threw out the GOP.

I never thought Ms Palin was dumb or unelectable. She reminds me so much of Mr Reagan and George W Bush that I am beginning to suspect that they are the type of candidate that appeals to the GOP. As far as I can tell, her domestic and foreign policies are 100%Mr Reagan and Mr Bush. I called George W Bush Reagan II. Ms Palin could be Reagan III.

The question is can the GOP move to the center enough to win the POTUS in 2012? Will the country forget the condition the US was in on January 21, 2009. Will the country be fed up enough with Mr Obama to vote for anyone else?

Why is it right wingers like you can't stand the idea that Palin used her kids as stage props and now run around campaigning and is likely just left her kids to nannies?

Why is it that right wingers can't stand the idea that they are massive hypocrites when it comes to "family values", when Palin's own daughter has a kid out of wedlock and spends the rest of her time slutting it up on Dancing With The Stars rather than being a good mom?

Palin and her family are a joke.

I wasn't referring to that as much as small government, limited regulation, no infrastructure...etc.

Basically Palin plans on remaking America into Alaska.
A vast undeveloped wilderness where corporations rape the land and the people remain mostly uneducated and the idea of "private enterprise" is smuggling in alcohol.
