You are wrong, as usual.

No he's right, the patty is tiny looking compared to the bun, that is NOT how a burger is made. But in a country where they actually call something a "malt shake" it doesn't surprise me. As already been explained they're 2 different things.

A malt shake is a milkshake with malt in it. You don't see how different regions might reasonably call it a malt shake and still be correct?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milkshake

Shake versus malt
In the United States, the term malt is usually in reference to a milk shake with malt powder mixed in it, whereas a shake lacks malt powder.

No in the US we call it a MALT because that's what it is, just because you add Malt to a milk shake doesn't make it a malt shake, it's a malt. the shake part doesn't belong.

I wish I had a facepalm picture epic enough for the stupidity in this post. You have outdone yourself QuerBert.

Here's the logic you're using:
In the USA we (wrongly) spell Colour as Color, because that's how it's done because this is the fucking US of fucking A!!!!!!11

I'm guessing you mean it needs more meat, cheese and BBQ sauce. This is an American thing. We enjoy a balance of ingredients because we're not American.

No it does need more meat. I'm not American but that tiny ass patty is an embarrassment to your country. Feel bad.

Huh? You can taste the beef in these burgers. Maybe you have trouble because the taste of cheese and BBQ sauce overwhelms it.

That's why Burger King is so bad. They have a lot of gimmicky burgers with horrible (and I do mean horrible) sauces on them. If your burger needs sauce (and I'm excluding exotic burgers here), you need to work on the quality of it.

while that is not the reason that i criticize it, I agree with your assessment of the "american thing".

i find that bun entirely too large.

For the same money I can get a way better burger at Delux.

Or a couple of T-bone steaks. Or go to a real restaurant (tip included).

In-n-out is infinity+1 times better than Five Guys.

Ate at Five Guys for the First Time Yesterday!
And wow was I disappointed.

The burger was ok, however doing it "all the way" led to a sog fest because of their runny mayo and thawed out sub-MacDonalds quality tomatoes.

And their cajun fries, NASTY.

Sorry Five Guys, you get a fail in my book. The local diner makes a better burger, as does Culvers, and many burger joints I've been to.

Some day I'll try In and Out and probably be equally disappointed.

The superior burger - Burger Fuel in NZ.

I feel really sorry New Zealanders :p - That's pretty ridiculous. Partly because we Americans are used to at least a 1/3 lb burger. But mostly because that's a ridiculously small amount of burger meat. When there's 5x more bun than burger, you know you're doing it wrong.

lol @ the morons who think five guys make shit burgers

They do make shit burgers. Burgers served with grease-soaked buns that don't taste all that fresh = shit.

Give me In-N-Out anytime over those.

In-N-Out = #1 Fast Food Burger

Actually, in my part of this grand republic of ours we've always called them "malteds." But, seriously, who cares if they call them malt shakes in NZ? They're allowed, you know.

I hope that is Kobe beef or filet mignon, because that is ridiculously small. God bless the USA and its hamburgers!

I don't know where you guys are getting the "grease soaked" buns at. I've never had one at the local Five Guys. I still think they're better than In-N-Out.

I have eaten at both of the Five Guys that are here and they both are shitty burgers. Hell the Famous Star at Carls Jr. is a better burger than anything they make at the Five Guys here. Maybe you have a better one, but the ones here suck ass.
