You think every one of those stupid ideas is just awesome, don't you? Probably have spouted some variant of the same horseshit many times here, I'm guessing.

Who cares what label people want to slap on things? It's the same dumb, discredited ideas. But then, why would I expect anyone espousing stupid, outdated ideas to suddenly understand logic?

I don't see how you got that out of being asked not to generalize with the intuitive powers of an eight year old. It's times like this that I'm reminded how moronic a good portion of the member base here.

Today must be national Moonbeam and Anarchist420 troll day.

Maybe your psychologist friend can help you with your Moonbeam obsession. If you are going to try to make a home for me in your asshole, we're going to have to work on the ventilation by removing your head from the door.

How to fix things:
a)Stop the fascism in the America.
b)So..If no one can own property..What can you have?
c)Moonbean gets #1 award for calling someone an asshat without calling someone an asshat
d)Communism does not work.

What cruelty drives you to pick on Anarchist. Can't you see how small that makes you. Don't do stuff that turns you into an ass. You will make of yourself something that nobody should be around.

Poor, poor Moonbeam it looks like you're back to lashing out and using profanity towards people again.

Funny that you've treated far worse than I ever have in this forum. Nice try at making me out to be the bad guy.

When we can finally 3D print everything everyone wants then sure.

Machine intelligence and robotics will eliminate the need for human productivity. The thinking and building they will be capable of will be beyond human capacity. It will be the end of work and the egotistical arrogance that often accompanies self hate plastered over by money. Every human being will have no economic purpose. It will be time to play. Happiness will depend on the real depths of ones morality.

I'm beginning to wonder if English is your native language. You make a lot of grammatical mistakes and they impair my ability to understand exactly what you are saying. Funny that you've treated far worse than......doesn't make any sense. I spoke of your behavior. It was bad. If I have done worse, it doesn't make any difference. You are still a rat for how you treated him. You are at core a decent human being, but you have a brain defect that makes you mean. Be better than me. Stop making excuses for yourself. Be bigger than me. But don't try to hide what you did. You can't help being mean. You mirror your past.

NYC just elected de Blasio. He's about as close to a communist as you can get. Additionally, progressivism is rooted in Socialism. We've got a ton of progressives holding office that stop just short of labeling themselves as Socialists for obvious reasons. Your definition of what constitutes a Communist or a Socialist may differ from mine, but we've got a ton of them here.

Dig down deep enough and you will find most are corporate whores that pretend to be something else, after all who do you think they hang out with the average Joe that is told to vote for them or the people behind the scenes with the money and political influence.

In other words, yes, he believes ever word of that, just was too stupid to realize it was basically a bunch of dumb discredited communist ideas, and like most of the usual suspects around here isn't able to add much to this topic since most are guilty of spouting some variant of the same bullshit. (See: every other thread on wages, economics, rich vs. poor, racial issues, etc.)

Now back to whining about the 1% vs. 99% with you! (You being of course way too dim to know that's just a re-spew of old "proletariat vs. bourgeoisie" marxist bullshit.)

I will try to defend Anarchist if you try to hurt him emotionally and I will try discourage you from doing it by showing you the truth of yourself so your conscience can operate on facts. This I see as moral duty, not frustration. Any frustrations I may experience in life are only with myself. I have penetrated deeply enough it to the truth of our natures to know that the 'other' is not the cause of my ills. Don't pretend to be a martyr. You can't help what you are because you can't see. I'm going to try to help you with that because you are a human being and you were created in the image of God. Don't wipe your shoes on yourself. The mud is already there. It's not being put there by me. Self confrontation hurts because the truth isn't very pleasant unless you live in a bubble.

I wonder how many Millennials are communist, as trained by their educators and their peers. The writer of this article is under the impression that the elimination of private property is a benefit. Yet this nation was founded precisely to protect individuals. Not to seize them, not to claim ownership of them by the State.

Seems difficult for me to imagine freedom when one answers to a master. I am always confounded by fellow Americans who prefer to wear the shackles this nation once cast off.

Perhaps if such ideals can be found successful, they must not first be experimented on by those of us most opposed to the very concept.

I started paying attention to what the kids of today are being taught in school. It's clear that many of them are being indoctrinated to think this way. I have a nephew that shows every sign of this when asked political type questions. What better way to transform a country, than to work on the young, impressionable mind?

Makes sense - if a communist were to try and gather a following, their only possible option is through children, because they are the only group who simply don't have the life experience yet to understand why the ideals do not work.

I never seen you defend him or call out those who ridicule him a single time in this forum. However, if you want to act like you're his savior and be a victim at the same time it's all good with me.

A great rolling stone article!

1. Guaranteed Work for Everybody
2. Social Security for All
3. Take Back The Land
4. Make Everything Owned by Everybody
5. A Public Bank in Every State

Looks to me like someone thinks they are entitled to something that someone else has worked for.

Workers need to stop looking at jobs as if they were slaves. You are free person go make your own fortune and stop trying to take stuff from other people. Break those chains, walk away from your slave driver and blaze your own path in life.

Jobs are nothing more than a form of slavery, except you are free to come and go as you please. But if you lose that job you may lose your home, car, marriage,,,, and everything you have worked for. Working for someone else does not make you money, it makes the owner of the company money.

The problem is millennials are lazy and jealous. Mom and dad, and all those old people had to work decades to get where they are at. Nothing worth having in life is going to be handed to you on a silver platter.

What would fix a lot of those problems listed above would be if schools taught students how to make money. Teaching someone how to read and write does not teach them how to make money.

Schools teach a form of financial slavery. And that is the root cause of our problems. Reform the schools and society will follow.

Mandatory 2 years of military service after high school would help straighten a lot of people out.

This is the idealistic, academic notion of the future. I wonder what the practical look will be? Don't get me wrong, I agree with your principle, and have since I realized it was inevitable as a kid, but reality is always much messier. Look at the resentment that surfaces when this topic is discussed. People will be afraid/angry to let go of old social constructs/norms (and losing the power and status that accompanies them). That's where things could get messy (i.e. war/anarchy).

You've already opened the door to a much more interesting conversation in your last statement, but let's dumb it down a bit for the audience. Assuming there was no longer a need to work to maintain a relatively stable/acceptable existence, what would most people do? Star Trek TNG actually discussed this, in passing, stating, "the accumulation of wealth is no longer the driving force in our lives".

For those wondering - I do not view it as an ideological issue. It's inevitable in terms of technological advances. Look at the change in the labor force in the last 100 years. Then the last 150. Labor based jobs continue to be phased out. If you work for a large corporation, sitting in a cube, you realize that most of the people that work there are superfluous, and basically perform menial busywork administrative/compliance tasks. Even those can and will be automated.

So, now that we enter the closing arc of having to work for survival (and dont get me wrong, this will not end til the effect is global, which will take several more lifetimes), what will the human race do with itself? Will there be intellectual/brain effort "kickstarter" campaigns to cure diseases? Develop renewable energy sources? Explore space? Or will everyone become hopelessly depressed, morbidly obese slobs, passed out & drooling on their couches in front of Planetry Idol, 2325 edition (aka Fame whoring)? Will the pursuit of collective societal goals (ie curing cancer) become the higher brow version of fame whoring? (In the absence of money, does notoriety become the currency of society? - We are already moving that way)

For identical repetitive task, yes, machines are replacing people.

For everything else people still have to do.

Chances are moonbeam has never worked in a factory.
