Hey guys

I'm having hellz own time trying to fit a Panaflow 120mm fan to the front of my 6896a which comes with a front 120mm plastic fan holder.

The retail fan was thin and pretty wimpy so I went with a Panaflo. The Panaflo is probably 2 times as thick and does not fit into the plastic holder. I don't want to go as far as drilling holes into the front of my case. Any ingenious ideas?

i have the same case, and i also replaced with a Panaflo that is, as you say, much thicker. you don't have a choice but to drill mounting holes; i recommend lining the contact edge of the fan with a THIN (2-3 mm) lining of flexible sealant (silicone tube in home depot), as this will act both as a sealant (avoids air leak, so you don't have any recirculation of internal air) and as a gasket.

tydas thanks

The selection and prices were much better then directron.com. I never saw this before but I assume "tailed" means with the connector and untailed without.
